Goldgenie’s team of highly skilled and experienced artisans have diligently and masterfully applied an ostentatious layer of 24-karat gold to the entire structure of the racing bike, from the tips of the handlebars and every cog on the gear clusters to the derailleur, wheel stays, spokes and even to every ridge of the gear chain.
Not sure where anyone could possibly ride a 24-karat gold bike except in the likes of Dubai (in the winter months of course), but personally I would never ride this around London for obvious safety reasons – It’s not like us cyclists need to give bus drivers and cabbies more ammunition to try and knock us off our bikes.
Beautiful Workmanship
If I did buy one however, I would give it a nice spot on a wall in my home. The gleaming elegance of the gold against the black accents creates a distinctive visual appeal and the sheer beauty of the workmanship (check out the detail of the cogs etc.) is incredible.
I’m sure there will be those who comment and state that this is an example of wasted money, that it is unnecessary, or even that this amount could be used to help those less fortunate – I can agree with them to a degree, but with all the crap going on in the world, can we please for a few minutes just focus on the sheer beauty of the craftsmanship, attention to detail and the effort which has gone into this piece of art.
