London’s Battersea Power Station is beyond doubt a heritage site and when a luxury hotel plans to get a foothold around that area, we’re excited.

To be built and designed by Fosters + Partners, the 160-room hotel will be housed within The Skyline – a large mixed-use block as part of the third phase of development for the 17-hectare Battersea Power Station development site.

A rooftop infinity pool will offer unprecedented views of the historical landmark and will be located at the southernmost end of the building, right beside one of the old power station’s four iconic chimneys.

Of course, the fancy hotel will entail the necessities – as per us – an elevated bar and a restaurant offering panoramic views of the city skyline, as well as a public art gallery accompanied by a lounge and cafe.

We hear the interiors will be fashioned by a “signature artist” – we’re yet to find out whom – but yes, analogous to the brand’s Amsterdam hotel designed by Dutch studio Atelier Van Lieshout.
